I felt incredibly privileged to have attended the #EastSussexWomenoftheYear lunch on Friday and to have been in a room full of impressive women and hear some inspiring talks – especially that of Toya Mendez and her beautiful heartfelt speech about the support she has received from FSW Family Support Work.
This event isn’t like an awards ceremony where someone wins, it is an event that instead chooses to celebrate the achievements of, and contributions made, by many women who live or work in East Sussex or Brighton and Hove.
Running a smallcharity means there is never time for socialising and networking like this and so it was totally amazing to catch up with so many lovely people and to meet some brilliant women and make new connections for future collaborations.
