Can YOU be a Secret Santa for a local child this Christmas?
Last Christmas we provided presents for over 3,000 children and their families across our city
Christmas can be a really tough time for families with the promise of ‘Santa’, so every year our ‘Secret Santa’ campaign supports families who can’t afford Christmas presents.
It is such a tough time of year, putting families under additional financial pressure. The cost of living crisis means we’re seeing more requests for support than ever before! With the challenges being faced by so many in our community, our Christmas campaign is more important than ever.
We want to make sure that no child or their parent/carer is left with nothing for Christmas.
To do that we need your help.
We’re asking people who can afford it, to buy gifts ranging between £5 – £20 for children and adults.
Ideally toys and games won’t be battery operated (so we don’t add that expense to families). We also request that gifts aren’t too personalised eg no clothing, jewellery, makeup, perfume (pyjamas and hat/scarf sets being the exception, but not Christmas themed please).
There is a suggested giftlist on Amazon to give you an idea of the types of things we need for families.

Are you a local business?
Do you have a reception, staff room, entrance or waiting room where you can have a Tree of Gifts?
Haul your Christmas tree out the loft, decorate it with and add Pelican Parcels gift tags that have a selection of gifts staff, customers and clients can purchase.

We’re also working in partnership with local toys shops as we’d love people to shop local and support our local businesses.
If you are shopping at stores other than those listed below, please can your Christmas donations can be sent to us unwrapped – although gift bags, wrapping paper and cellotape are gratefully received as every family will get these to help them get ready for the big day.
