PELICAN PARCELS

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING COORDINATOR

About Pelican Parcels

Pelican Parcels is a Sussex-based charity established in 2018 which aims to ensure that local families and carers have the essentials for their babies and children. The charity is growing at an incredible rate and demand for our services is high. In the first year we supported over 500 children and pregnant mums and by the end of 2024 that number had risen to over 7,000.  We envisage the demand for our service will continue to grow.

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Communications and Marketing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the success of a fast growing charity delivering important work across Brighton & Hove.

In this newly created role, Pelican Parcels is looking for a bright, positive, and energetic person to aid the charity in reaching out to its supporters and prospective supporters in order to encourage donations, volunteering and financial support.

You will play a key role in bringing the transformational impact of Pelican’s services to life through impactful storytelling and design. The role is part-time (20 hours per week). Usual days of working are Monday-Thursday, with very occasional evenings and weekends to attend our events. Our hours are 9:30am – 2:30pm; however, we are open to hybrid working and working longer, fewer, days.

You will support the Pelican Parcels team by producing communications plans and developing innovative, creative ideas to promote our activities across a range of channels. This includes e-newsletters and case studies, website updates, social media, designing digital and printed assets and publications.

Pelican Parcels provides an inclusive, friendly, and supportive working environment. We will support you to develop and grow in the role, through training, coaching and other development opportunities.
